THE Show for Model Engineers

We look forward to welcoming you to the UK’s largest model engineering exhibition.

There will be over 30 clubs and societies present displaying hundreds of exhibits covering a wide range of modelling skills.  This year we welcome 8 new clubs to the exhibition including; Association of Helicopter Aerosports, Echills Wood Railway, Grimsby and Cleethorpes Model Engineering Society,  Harlington Locomotive Society, Northampton Society of Model Engineers, Nottingham Society of Model and Experimental, Model Engine Makers and The Young Engineers.   

There will also be nearly 40 of the leading model engineering specialist trade suppliers, all waiting to meet you and provide everything you need for your modelling activities.

The Society of Model and Experimental Engineering will be presenting practical workshops and demonstrations as well as a range of their famous models on display and a chance to meet the members and learn about their training courses, programme of meetings and membership.

For Young Engineers
This year’s show has a focus on showcasing Young Engineers as we have the Young Engineers Club joining us members as young as 7 years old.  The Model Engineering magazine will feature “Nelly The Copter” in the pre-show issue and you can see this at this show. 

We also have Angus French a previous junior winner three times and is now a young professional design engineer. His superb, fully instrumented Formula 1 steering wheel will be on display to show everybody what young engineers can achieve.

The Model Engineers’ Workshop Lecture Programme
Following the successful and well attended talks at last year’s exhibition, MEW is pleased to host the talks at the 2024 Exhibition again.

This will include Mark Noel’s talk on building a seismometer and Bob Reeve talking about  thread milling.  By popular demand Noel Shelley returns with a presentation on foundrywork as do Malcolm High and Roger Froud who will be giving talks on contrasting aspects of 3D printing. Brazing can be a challenge, but Shaun Meakin aims to make the task easier for you and finally, MEW Editor, Neil Wyatt, will share some of the more unusual and challenging workshop tasks he’s undertaken in his ten years as editor.  The full programme is below;

This unique exhibition is the result of a tremendous amount of effort by many hundreds of modellers and other enthusiasts.

Please note there is limited parking on site for motorhomes. No parking for motorhomes overnight.
